About Home Repair Planner

Home Repair Planner is a straightforward, ad-light site for homeowners who want to know what a project will actually cost and which tools are worth owning. Every guide is written to answer the questions we'd ask before starting the work ourselves.

Who runs this

Independent site run by Ken Hoven. Questions, corrections, affiliate issues: ken.hoven@gmail.com.

Sister site

We also run FixItReal, a companion site with hands-on repair walkthroughs.

How we make money

Affiliate commissions from Amazon and other retailers when you buy something we recommend. We don't accept paid placements and we recommend the same thing whether a brand pays a commission or not.
